Think Your Safe Driving in a Church Van? Think Again!Think you’re safe driving in a church van or an airport shuttle? Think again! Passenger Vans are extremely dangerous vehicles. Originally used as cargo vans, these vehicles were never redesigned to safely transport human beings. The result: According to the NHSTA, between 1990 and 2002, 1,576 passenger vans (15 passenger) were involved in fatal crashes, resulting in 1,111 deaths to occupants. On account of this, federal regulators have been warning consumers about rollover risks posed by passenger vans. Research from the NHSTA provides that fully loaded passenger vans are five times more likely to flip than vans only containing a driver.
