Loxitane
Loxitane (Loxapine Succinate) is used to treat symptoms of certain types
of mental conditions. It acts in the brain to block chemicals involved
with nerve sensitivity and improves concentration and self control.
Common side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision. stomach upset,
loss of appetite, headache, drooling, dry mouth, sleep disturbances or
restlessness. These effects should cease as your body adjusts to the medication.
Notify your doctor if they persist or worsen.
Rare side effects: Chest pain, rapid heart rate, difficult or fast breathing,
aching muscles and joints, tremors, rash, involuntary movements such as
chewing, puckering or twitching tongue while taking this medication, Notify
your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.
Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have a history of epilepsy, Parkinson's
disease, depression, heart disease, glaucoma, prostate trouble or difficulty
urinating or alcoholism. This medication can increase sensitivity to sunlight,
avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. |
